About the role
Reporting into the HSSE function, this role HSE Coordinator, plays a hands-on, operationally focused part in supporting the delivery of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) outcomes across our fleet and maintenance network.
You’ll work closely with fleet managers, workshop teams and operational leaders to coordinate safety activities, strengthen compliance and embed a proactive, safety-first culture.
What you’ll be doing
Coordinating HSSE activities across fleet and maintenance environments, including audits, inspections and compliance checks
Maintaining HSSE systems, procedures, risk registers and reporting in line with Toll and legislative requirements
Tracking and closing out corrective actions and risk controls
Supporting incident investigations, reporting and trend analysis
Partnering with operational leaders and workshop teams to provide practical safety guidance
Driving safety initiatives such as training, toolbox talks and awareness programs
Supporting critical risk controls across vehicle operations, workshops and emerging technologies (EV & hydrogen)
Coordinating internal and external audits and ensuring timely action completion
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across safety, compliance and operational efficiency
What success looks like
Audits, inspections and compliance activities delivered on time and to a high standard
Strong engagement from operational teams in safety and risk management practices
Timely, accurate and actionable incident reporting
Continuous improvement opportunities identified and implemented
Trusted, collaborative relationships across operational teams and service providers
What you’ll bring
Experience in HSSE within transport, logistics, fleet or maintenance environments
Solid understanding of fleet and workshop risks and WHS legislation
Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills
Experience coordinating audits, inspections and investigations
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
A practical, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset
Qualifications
Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management or similar (preferred)
Relevant HSSE certifications highly regarded
Current driver’s licence (preferred)
