Hotel Management Trainee Tangalooma Island Resort location Brisbane. Tangalooma Island Resort is located approximately 70 minutes off the coast of Brisbane. We are one of the most respected Island Resorts on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia and operate an internationally renowned Marine Education Program. We currently have a position vacant for a Hotel Management Trainee to join our team. The Hotel Management Trainee program is different from all other training programs in that it is not time bound and each Trainee progresses at their own self propelled rate. Progression is based on what the Trainee wants to achieve and how in depth they want to learn each respective department (examples of departments successful applicants may be placed in are Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services). The successful candidates will commence in an entry level position, progressing step by step as the trainee develops. To be successful in this position and to gain most benefits, applicants should look to commit to this position for a minimum of 2 years. Candidates must display a positive demeanour, be eager to learn, show initiative in progression, communicate effectively, be open to learning Resort operational methods. Applicants must hold a QLD RSA certificate. Drivers Licence and Blue Card (working with children) are desirable. Minimum 3 years previous experience in a Hospitality/Tourism position or study would be beneficial for candidates. This position requires successful candidates to live on site at Tangalooma Island Resort (Moreton Island). Accommodation and meal packages available, rate as per award.
