We are currently seeking an experienced Head of Operations to join our senior leadership team and drive the strategic direction of our organisation.

The role as the Head of Operations at First Rescue, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our strategic initiatives. This position is integral to developing and implementing organisational policies, maintaining statutory compliance, and fostering positive change through those who directly deliver our services.

You will lead the operations team, ensuring that all business functions work cohesively to meet our goals of operational excellence and superior customer service.

Key responsibilities lead the formulation and execution of organisational strategies relating to Operations, including resource management, technology, tactical operations, finance, and supply chain management. Guide and supervise the operations leadership team to ensure strategic objectives are met.

Formulate, execute, and oversee policies and procedures across operations to uphold high standards. Design and manage operational budgets to enhance profitability. Streamline workflow and workforce management to adapt to evolving business needs.

Coordinate third-party relationships, particularly with providers, to align with broader organisational goals. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Foster a culture focused on risk mitigation and adherence to health and safety procedures.

Collaborate with other senior managers to ensure a cohesive approach to achieving organisational objectives. Utilize data analysis and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive market position.

Requirements a minimum of 10 years’ experience in operations management with proven strategic oversight. At least 2 years of specific industry experience in emergency response services or related fields.

Comprehensive knowledge of business functions with a deep understanding of operational dynamics. Strong analytical abilities and exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated leadership in managing large, diverse teams and complex projects.
