Join our team as the Head of Broking – Pacific. Lead the broking community in delivering exceptional client experiences and building strong relationships with carriers. Drive consistency across our lines of business, champion broking transformation programs, and coordinate first class broking solutions. Shape the future of our broking team by understanding market trends and maintaining key client relationships.
The Role
Implements the geography broking strategy working with geographic line of business broking leaders to deliver the line of business strategies within the geography
Manage and develop the broking leadership team within the matrix organisation
Provide direction and leadership to the community of brokers within the region across all lines of business
Oversee the development of the broking community to an ascribed standard of technical competency
Lead Facilities and Panels best practice throughout the region
Lead the Carrier Management team to enable the execution of geographic and regional line of business broking strategies
Lead market derived income governance as a member of MDI Committee
Champion all global Broking initiatives, such as Broking Transformation, Operational Improvement, Technology Investment and Broking Competency Development Programmes
Ensure global broking data strategy is consistently implemented by the broking community within the region
Act as escalation point for all carrier issues, including escalation management of placement or claims within region, working with Line of Business and broking leadership
Act as escalation point within region for CRB market clients
Be a member of the WTW Market Security Committee
Delivery of agreed F&P financial targets
Manage and drive Market Derived Income (including governance) within the region and with WTW’s Legal and Compliance teams as appropriate
Responsible for all CRB commission agreements, carrier contracts, terms of business or similar within the region
Qualifications
The Requirements
Education to a degree, or MBA level (or country equivalent) preferred
Professional qualifications such as ANZIIF Executive Certificate in General Insurance Broking or similar country equivalent, or relevant industry experience
Extensive knowledge of the insurance market and ability to understand potential conflicts of interest in CRB activity
Ability to demonstrate evidence of a highly professional and credible approach across the broking market community, resulting in an understanding of client and technical issues and capability to solve
Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing people
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence within a matrix environment
Strong facilitation skills – able to use inclusive and collaborative styles to manage ambiguity and gain agreement
Ability to act as an ambassador for the Company
High levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy and change management
Strong skills in problem solving, planning and budgeting
Holds all regulatory licenses, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under local legislation
