Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is hiring General Practitioners now for remote community-based roles in East Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. We have immediate opportunities available in Galiwin’ku, Milingimbi, and Ramingining for doctors who are passionate about delivering high-quality primary healthcare and making a meaningful difference in Aboriginal communities.

Current vacancies:

1 Full-time / FIFO position – Milingimbi
1 Part-time / FIFO position – Ramingining
2 Full-time / FIFO positions – Galiwin’ku
This is a unique opportunity to work in a rewarding remote health setting while being part of a committed, purpose-driven team. You will provide essential care to communities across East Arnhem Land and work alongside experienced clinicians and external health service providers.

What we offer:

Competitive remuneration package valued at circa $365,000 per annum inclusive of superannuation.
$15,900 salary packaging plus $2,650 meal and entertainment card through CBB

About the role
These roles involve working in remote Aboriginal communities and require a strong commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and culturally safe healthcare delivery. Experience in general practice and/or rural and remote healthcare is highly desirable.

Essential requirements:

Current registration and practising certificate as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA
Extensive experience in General Practice or rural/remote healthcare settings
Vaccination and immunity screening
