General Hand Milford Sound Tourism Ltd location Southland.

Background Milford Sound Tourism is the tourism infrastructure provider in Milford Sound. We own and operate the harbour, wharves, visitors terminal and parking in Milford Sound. We also run the wastewater plant and the rubbish and recycling systems, ensuring this pristine wilderness is kept just that, pristine.

We also operate a campground in the awesome Eglinton Valley, where you may also be working. Our awesome diverse and motivated operations team have the privilege of living and working in Fiordland National Park, at a community base called Piopiotahi, Milford Sound.

Details of the role job title General Hand. Job location/region Milford Sound. Number of positions 2. Employment type Full time (permanent or fixed term). Workdays 10 days on, 4 days off - a rotating roster Monday – Sunday inclusive. Work hours 80 hrs per/fortnight guaranteed hours.

Key Tasks include cleaning of public toilet areas. Cleaning of staff accommodation. Cleaning of Visitors Terminal. Cleaning of worker break facilities. Vending machine related tasks; stocking and stock taking. Waste / recycling management. Gardening and painting. Parking warden duties, monitoring car parks and assisting with parking questions. Assist at Eglinton Valley Camp as required.
