We are proud members of the prestigious Relais and Chateaux group. We are looking to recruit a Front Office all rounder. We are looking for someone who has a passion for people, for our lodge and for the Southern Lakes Region.

This is a varied role that includes all aspects of front office including traditional reception duties, answering the phone, reservations and guest services.  The position holds potential for further development for the right person. An excellent opportunity for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career.

Main tasks include answering the phone and emails. Covering reservations in the absence of our Reservations Manager. Meeting guests on arrival, organising guest itineraries and booking all arrangements. Ensuring all departments are abreast of the lodges daily operations.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following attributes a passion for service excellence. Have previous experience in a hotel Front Office environment and be well versed in Front Office Property Management systems. Ideally the applicant will have both reservations and guest service experience in a similar high end property.

Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Be well organised, have an eye for detail and possess the ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of the local surrounds and activities. Be well presented. The position involves weekend shifts. Applicants must be legally entitled  to work in New Zealand.
