About the Role:

The Café Attendant creates a warm and inviting café atmosphere where residents can socialize, relax, and enjoy refreshments. You will play a significant part in promoting social interaction and well-being among residents, contributing to the overall positive living experience within Arcare.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive customer service to residents, staff, and visitors who visit the café. Greet customers, take orders, and handle transactions with professionalism and courtesy.
Food and Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, as well as simple snacks or light meals available in the café.
Menu Management: Assist in creating and updating the café menu, considering residents' dietary requirements, preferences, and popular choices.
Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions accurately and securely.
Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and other café supplies, and reorder items as necessary.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment. Ensure that the café meets health and safety standards.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in Food Service and Cafe
Food Handlers Certificate.
Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn.
Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
Friendly and effective communication abilities.
