Description

Financial Controller Robert Half Finance and Accounting location Sydney, CBD, Inner West and Eastern Suburbs. Salary $140000.0 - $150000.0 p.a. + Super. As Financial Controller you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability and integrity of the company’s results. The role requires a desire to implement continuous improvements within the internal controls of the firm and ensure compliance is in line with appropriate policies and procedures. Reporting to the CFO the role will require you to manage the finance function and will focus on leading and managing a finance function for 3 entities, preparing statutory accounts and leading internal/external audits, leading and preparing month end completion ensuring complete balance sheet integrity, implementing ongoing process improvements and efficiencies, preparing the annual budget in accordance with group guidelines, oversee the accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll administration and fixed asset functions to achieve accurate and timely output, manage 3 staff, improve the accuracy of the financial forecast, proactively identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems, forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment, engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company, create additional analyses and reports as requested by management, ensure all company statutory requirements are met promptly including the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts, examining and reviewing financial records to check for accuracy. Your skills & experience degree in commerce, business, finance or related field, chartered / business services experience is desirable, staff management experience, problem solving experience through statistical analysis or with large data sets such as in derivatives, structured finance or business analytics, microsoft excel skills (macros, v-lookups, pivot tables etc.), impressive experience in oracle/hyperion/sap/sfdc/tableau/tm1/hyperion/power bi, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to provide strong financial acumen to non-finance professionals.
