Financial Controller Pattison and Walker location Melbourne. Pattison & Walker has been exclusively engaged to recruit a Financial Controller for a market-leading FMCG manufacturing organisation based in the inner suburbs. Revenue turnover is approximately $500m and this has been steadily growing over the past 10 years. Our client is a diverse and innovative manufacturing organisation with several key business units contributing to its growth. They are a progressive and dynamic business, constantly expanding into new markets and regions. Their head office is conveniently located on the CBD fringe. The role you will be part of a team of high-performing professionals and you will oversee a team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will have direct exposure to the senior management of the business, including the Board and CEO. You will take ownership of the end-to-end finance function from a day-to-day perspective. There is significant scope for personal and professional development for the right candidate. Diverse in nature, the role will cover a range of technical and commercial accounting duties. Key responsibilities will include overseeing the finance function, including reporting and systems, from a day-to-day perspective, ensure the integrity of the gl and internal controls framework, manage the preparation of monthly reports, including commentary, to senior management and the board, manage the treasury and banking functions including cash flow, asset and capex controls, complete the statutory accounts, ensuring all tax compliance obligations are met, manage and develop a large team, manage the annual budget process and forecasting process, oversee the payroll function including the roll-out of a new payroll system, undertaking m&a analysis and associated post-integration activities, project management, oversee the transactional functions including ap and ar, driving change and identifying areas for process improvement, particularly from an automation point of view, ad-hoc project work as and when required. The following will be favourably looked upon CA or CPA qualifications experience in a relevant industry in a senior finance position, experience in a chartered accounting firm, staff management experience, exposure to various accounting packages, including large erp systems, experience with m&a, change management and project management, advanced microsoft excel and financial modelling skills, treasury knowledge including fx accounting, a hands-on approach, willing to delve into detail when required, exceptional presentation and communication skills, a terrific attitude and work ethic, outstanding stakeholder management skills.
