About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Technician to join our team within the central functions
As a Field Services Technician you will provide Technical Support to users and on the corporate computing environment and ensure the day to day functioning of Information technology and communications equipment and services at responsible sites.
More specifically, you will be
Provide Hardware support for
– Dell Desktop and Laptop technology
– Canon Multi-Function Devices
– Apple iPhone and iPad
– Poly Video and Voice Collaboration Equipment
Provide standard Operating Environment application support for Microsoft Applications including MS Office, M365 and Teams
Provide on-site, face to face and remote Technical Support of the corporate information technology environment
Provide timely response to incidents and service requests within defined timeframes
Support of meeting room technologies including M365 and associated meeting room hardware
Call handling and content working within SLA’s
Work with other teams within DDC to achieve customer resolution
Assist other DDC teams with any on-site assistance, for example. network, server equipment
Liaise with third party contractors and vendors (Dell, Canon etc)
Possibility of some “out of hours” work where required
About YOU
Demonstrate relevant experience in IT environment with experience in supporting the latest Microsoft operating systems and applications in a network environment; supporting mobile and video conferencing technologies; installation, configuration and documentation of computer systems hardware/ software in a network environment
An IT related Diploma, Microsoft Certification or equivalent is preferred
Ability to demonstrate systems analysis skills, critical thinking and problem solving
Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.
