Our General Construction division is expanding, and we're seeking experienced Field Service Plant Mechanics to support our customers across the Cobar region, working on a range of Caterpillar construction and mining equipment in both underground and open-cut operations.

This is a unique opportunity for Sydney-based technicians looking for a lifestyle roster, with flights provided to and from Cobar, site accommodation and meals supplied, and the backing of a world-class OEM dealer network.

About the Role

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you'll provide high-quality onsite maintenance, fault finding and repair services across a broad range of Caterpillar equipment.

Working autonomously in the field, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving machine issues safely and efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service.

Excavators
Wheel Loaders
Skid Steers
Telehandlers
Compactors
Mining Support Equipment
Underground Machinery
With modern tooling, ongoing training and access to Caterpillar's industry-leading technology systems, you'll be supported every step of the way.

8 Days On / 6 Days Off roster (subject to final contract confirmation – 7x7 roster may apply)

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent trade qualification)
Proven experience maintaining and repairing Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
High commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Ability to work independently in remote environments
Strong communication and customer service skills
Experience with Caterpillar SIS and ET systems (highly regarded)
Current Australian Driver's Licence
