We are looking for a dedicated part-time Employment Support Worker – Gardener to join our supported employment garden maintenance team Alberton.

About the Role

As a Gardening Employment Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting employees living with disability who are working on a supported wage. Based at Alberton, you will work as part of a friendly, collaborative team providing on-site assistance to ensure gardening and maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Assist supported employees with daily gardening tasks and general grounds maintenance.
Prepare and set up equipment, ensuring it is safe and ready for use
Provide hands-on guidance and encouragement to supported workers
Monitor task progress and quality, ensuring outcomes meet expectations
Promote an inclusive, positive, and empowering work environment
Follow all safety protocols and workplace procedures

You will ideally have:

Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent experience
A current Driver’s Licence
Senior First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
Experience working with people with disability or in trade/manual labour roles (desirable)
A genuine interest in gardening and working with people of all abilities.
Basic gardening or landscaping skills (experience preferred but not essential)
Patience, reliability, and strong communication skills
A collaborative mindset and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions
