The Role: Electrical Supervisor
Join our team as an Electrical Supervisor, working alongside Project and Production Managers to deliver high-quality electrical outcomes across major projects. In this full-time, permanent role based at Garden Island, you’ll lead a skilled team, uphold safety and quality standards, and support the successful delivery of operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of trades and non-trades staff, ensuring high-quality workmanship and full OH&S compliance.
Provide technical support, guidance, and reporting on electrical tasks and project deliverables.
Plan, estimate and schedule work activities, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery.
Oversee personnel administration, team compliance, and adherence to company processes and standards.
Deliver on-the-job training, mentor apprentices, and support upskilling across the team.
Interpret drawings to manufacture, assemble and install electrical components, using workshop equipment safely and effectively.
Monitor team performance, identify development needs, and support continuous improvement.
Your Skills:
Advanced Engineering Tradesperson with a NSW Electrical Licence.
Experience in electrical engineering within shipbuilding, repair or related industries.
Knowledge of commercial quality, safety requirements and industry-recognised Quality Assurance systems.
Milspec plugging, cable termination or fibre optic experience (desirable).
Basic rigging or forklift ticket (desirable).
Certificate IV in Frontline Supervision or equivalent experience in a leadership role.
Eligible to obtain a Defence Security Clearance and ITARs clearance.
