Description
Our client in Whangarei is looking for a qualified ECT to join their bicultural centre and help make a positive impact on local tamariki. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the local community where whanau and taking care of future generations is key.
As an early childhood teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment through programme planning and activities where children can learn and grow. You’ll be joining a close knit team of experienced multicultural educators and there is potential to move into leadership roles for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement age appropriate educational activities and lesson plans
Supervise and facilitate playtime, ensuring a balance of structured and unstructured activities
Collaborate with parents and guardians, providing regular feedback on children’s progress and development
Maintain accurate records of each child’s learning and development
Attend staff meetings to discuss best practices and how to implement new policies
Requirements
Must be qualified and registered ECE/Primary teacher Level 7 Minimum
Must be in New Zealand and hold valid work rights
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with young children
