Description
Digital Marketing All-Rounder Fooman location Auckland. Salary $40 - $44.99 per hour.
We're looking for a digital marketing generalist to handle our core day-to-day marketing coordination and writing tasks, and who can work with us on a longer term basis to review and shape our marketing strategy to grow traffic and conversions for key products. Fooman develops add-on software modules for the Magento e-commerce platform. Our customer base is highly international, with focus markets being UK/Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand. We're a small team distributed around the world.
About you will have proven marketing experience ‘moving the needle’ (ideally with software/tech products) and be able to hit the ground running from day 1. You write excellent web and email copy, and understand what marketing activities drive a good return on investment. You're a self-starter that knows the right questions to ask to work efficiently and independently.
You're comfortable working at both a strategic and operational level, and are confident using data to make sure the work you do has an impact, and to guide your decision-making. There are core monthly marketing coordination tasks to keep the basics ticking over which you'll be solely responsible for, plus we'll work together to review our marketing strategy and identify any new areas of focus that you'll drive.
What you'll be doing Core tasks – monthly email marketing. Communications and marketing to support software product updates (including updating web copy and imagery, social media/email promotion, updating user documentation). Social media marketing. Creating graphics (we use Canva). Reviewing analytics and recommending any change in focus/growth areas. Identifying relevant traffic-building opportunities (e.g. through responding to questions on Quora, StackExchange).
Other tasks - ongoing/as needed reviewing our longer term marketing strategy and growth opportunities. Launching new software products (developing web copy through to product promotion). Writing SEO optimised blog posts/other content. Customer and competitor research. Driving website copy/user experience improvements. Writing email copy for sensitive matters like security updates/disruption issues.
