Customer Service Officer Department of Family and Community Services NSW location Sydney. From the 1^st July 2019, the Stronger Communities Cluster brought together the Department of Family and Community Services and the Department of Justice. Stronger Communities, under the banner of the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), provide services to support everyone's right to access justice and services to support families and children. DCJ performs statutory child protection functions and provides, co-ordinates or funds the provision of support services for vulnerable families, children, young people and communities in need. About the opportunity there are two temporary opportunities across the sws oohc hubs in south western sydney as listed below SWS OOHC Hub Macarthur – One temporary 12 month position from 28^th Jan 2020, SWS OOHC Hub Liverpool – One temporary 5 month position from 2^nd Feb 2020 until 30^th June 2020 with the possibility of extension. The primary purpose of this role is to provide front line services to the community from a local office (Community Service Centre or “CSC”). The role involves a range of client and administrative services that contribute to the effective delivery of quality services in a CSC. Customer Service Officers support the service delivery of the units administrative functions, financial support (processing payments in compliance with relevant policies, petty cash ect), supports casework teams with various administrative tasks that are sensitive in nature including taking detailed discussion notes in group supervision sessions, provides frontline client support via the DCJ reception, provides client support via switchboard duties and provides general office administrative. This position would suit candidates with strong attention to detail who have had exposure with processing financial invoices across various payment platforms whilst ensuring that payments are made in alignment with financial guidelines. There are two temporary roles in accordance with the Government Sector Employment Act 2013 for a period of up to 12 (Macarthur) and 5 (Liverpool) months. A Recruitment Pool may be created to fill similar roles for both ongoing and temporary opportunities if and as they arise.
