Public Sector People are currently inviting applications for experienced Customer Service Officers to join a Council in the Northeastern Suburbs.

Position: Customer Service Officer. Duration: ASAP start - 12 weeks with the potential to extend. Location: Local Council Northeastern Suburbs. Rate: $34.79 per hour + Super.

Key responsibilities to provide excellent first-point-of-contact service to customers contacting the Council.. To contribute to the award-winning Customer Service Team, by providing responsive, accessible, accurate and reliable service in line with community expectations, and reflecting best practice standards. To liaise with other departments to identify opportunities for on-going improvement in the provision of internal and external customer service.

Essential Criteria customer Service experience. Ability to engage empathetically with customers with emotionally charged issues would be highly regarded. Local government experience.
