Company description Community Service Administration Assistant. Corrective Services NSW. Location Lithgow Community Corrections Office. Salary Clerk Grade ¾ starting at $75,992pa + Superannuation + Annual Leave Loading. Position Type Ongoing - Part-time (flexible working hours) - 2 days week.

At Community Corrections, we aim to reduce the impact of crime on the community by effectively case managing offenders to achieve resettlement and successful order completion. We're excited to welcome a highly motivated Administration Assistant to facilitate and provide administrative support of the Community Service Order operations within our Lithgow office.

Our office is in a beautiful valley just west of the Blue Mountains, Lithgow is a fascinating town with an industrial heart but a natural, wild soul. The area is the traditional home of the Wiradjuri, Gundungurra, Darug nations and there are 406 declared Aboriginal sites.

What we're looking for applicants will need to have sound knowledge of, and/or the ability to learn the philosophy and objectives of the Community Service Order scheme and relevant acts and regulations. Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety issues, and the ability to undertake inspections to establish suitability of the agency for Community Service Work will also be required. Ability to work in a positive way with a variety of people, including those on Court orders to complete Community Service, a variety of community agency staff, community volunteers, and internal stakeholders from management to Community Correction's officers is a key characteristic of the role.

Your role administration Assistant provides quality administrative services including, but not limited to, the ability to conduct induction interviews/work placement assessments and inspections and allocate clients to appropriate agencies through written instructions.

What you'll do this role requires successful applicants to be successful in completing the community service training and hold a current driver's licence and the willingness to drive within NSW. There are extensive training opportunities and promotional opportunities on progression.
