Demonstrated experience in internal or corporate communications.
Exceptional writing, editing and speech writing skills.

Experience with media relations i.e. writing a media release, media liaison.
The Role
As Communications Coordinator, you’ll work under the guidance of the Manager, Corporate Relations and the Senior Communications Adviser to help deliver ECU’s media and public relations activities. You’ll support the development and implementation of media strategies that raise the University’s profile across local, national and international media.
In this role, you will develop engaging internal communications that celebrate the achievements of our staff and students, promote key university initiatives, and highlight events across ECU’s campuses. You’ll assist in planning and producing content for a range of internal platforms, including the development of ECU’s staff newsletter.

Key Criteria
The successful applicant will have:
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field with extensive experience OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.
Experience working in a media liaison or communications role, preferably in a large organisation
The ability to deliver media communications to target audiences across a range of channels.
Experience planning, writing and producing content for electronic newsletters,

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, fixed term position attracts a remuneration of $92,087 to $99,353 per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
