Mars, in partnership with a prominent leader in the agricultural industry, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Analyst to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in accounting and finance, particularly within the agriculture or manufacturing sector.
This role is integral in ensuring accurate product cost accounting, financial reporting, and analysis, supporting business operations and strategic decision-making processes. The Commercial Analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure that financial insights translate into actionable business strategies.
They are seeking an experienced individual with strong financial skill sets, analytical abilities, a commercial mindset, and exceptional communication capabilities. Experience with systems implementation is highly regarded, as the company is undergoing an ERP change process.
Responsibilities manage the month-end close process and financial analysis of the results. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for product-related costs. Develop effective metrics and dashboards. Prepare and analyse financial reports related to product costs, margins, and profitability.
Develop financial reporting and analysis to drive continual business improvements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations. Serve as the financial lead in ERP and systems implementation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in product accounting.
Criteria 6+ years' experience in accounting and finance. CA/CPA/ACCA qualified. Strong proficiency in financial reporting and data analysis. Excellent knowledge of financial modelling and forecasting techniques. Exceptional communication and presentation abilities. Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
