About the company an established IT company in South Auckland predominantly looking after SME (small to medium size) businesses. The company is looking for an experienced engineer with an eye for detail as this role has a strong focus on building, securing & maintaining IT services.

The opportunity due to their success and continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced Cloud and on-premises / hybrid infrastructures engineer. You will help maintain a high standard of support and proactively manage a range of technologies and services to SME’s in the Auckland region

To be successful in this role you will have over 5 years of relevant experience in setting up and maintaining Cloud and on-premises / hybrid server environments. Superb organisational and communication skills, with a willingness to learn.

Experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure solutions, Hyper-V or VMWare, MS Office 365, MS SharePoint, PowerShell, MS Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, VPN, Antivirus protection. Experience in building, implementing and maintaining physical servers, networks and firewalls. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Ideal but not essential relevant certifications are ideal but not essential, experience is more important. Sales or customer relations experience. VoIP configuration and implementation. Building and maintaining websites. Managing remote backup software. An understanding of identity and access management (IAM); including authentication, authorisation, and role-based access control (RBAC). Facebook or Google campaign management.

You will be responsible for day to day technical administration and problem solving across various physical and cloud infrastructures. Pro-actively monitoring the environments, redundancy, checking logs, maintaining capacity, and providing/supporting monitoring platforms. Ensuring systems are secure and backed up. Configuring & managing Azure or AWS infrastructure.

Managing Microsoft core technologies and a strong operational experience in infrastructure core capabilities (backup, patching, monitoring). Provide tailored solutions to individual clients across multiple industries. Driving operational excellence and contributing towards the continuous improvement of operation processes and procedures. Continuously improve in how to engage with, support and manage clients. Maintain strong relationships with existing customers. Form and grow long-term trusted advisor relationships with new clients.
