Description

Downer is currently hiring for multiple full-time Cleaners to join our dynamic and supportive team, at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. You'll use your cleaning experience to help keep the hospital clean and well-maintained for patients, visitors and staff.

Full-time availability (Monday–Friday) and working rights for a 38-hour week are required.

What You’ll Do

Working with a team to keep the hospital clean for patients, visitors, and staff

Performing essential cleaning tasks such as floor care, dusting, damp wiping, and spot cleaning of doors, internal glass, bathrooms, toilets, fixtures, fittings, and vents

Learning to conduct specialist cleaning duties, including infectious or forensic cleans, both reactively and on schedule

Helping with waste management, including collecting and disposing of different types of waste

Following work schedules and instructions

Ensuring proper disinfection and sanitisation of all areas.

What You’ll Bring

At least 1 year of experience in a similar role with good customer service skills and experience in commercial cleaning

Awareness of building security and related responsibilities

Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment

Sound numerical competence

Physically fit and energetic

Strong attention to detail

Able to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage time well
