Cafe General Manager Major Tom Cafe location Auckland. $28 – $32 per hour.

Based in the busy hub of Albany, North Shore, this is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-loved and iconic brand that is now expanding its horizons. We are currently seeking a General Manager to lead our Cafe based at our new store opening at Albany Mall. You will be an important face of the venue as you will be in charge of overseeing all 3 sites of ours.

Key accountabilities of the role include the following provide an exceptional level of customer service to all. Work with the Head Chef on a day to day basis to ensure a high quality product and offering is maintained at all times.

Barista Skills are essential ability to work under pressure is key. Ensure front of house team are well trained so all customers feel welcome and engaged during their visit. Overseeing of all three venues. Maintain stock control and staff rosters. Communication is KEY, as you will be in contact with sales reps, supervisors and HR.

A high standard and knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 & host responsibility requirements as a duty manager of a licensed premises. Must be available to work weekends, public holidays + Christmas/ New Year period as this venue will be operating on mall hours.

To be successful in this role you will have the following three years' experience in supervisory or management role within a high volume food service venue. Hospitality or customer service qualification (desirable). Duty Manager Certificate. Really enjoy people and social interactions. Solid understanding of hospitality. An eye for detail.
