Bookkeeper FGA location Melbourne, CBD and Inner Suburbs. Based in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, the permanent part-time role of Bookkeeper will support the General Manager of Corporate Operations to manage day-to-day finance and business activities. In this role you will also utilise your skills to support the implementation of a range of finance improvements, liaise with our dynamic client base and facilitate the smooth running of our finance processes and projects. FG Advisory supports flexible work practices, and this role would ideally suit an experienced Bookkeeper seeking a high degree of flexibility in their role, and those looking for a new challenge to develop in a work environment that squarely supports your learning and growth. This role offers flexibility in how workdays and hours are structured, with the opportunity to Work from Home for the right candidate. It is anticipated this role will initially require the equivalent of around 3 days per week, however there is opportunity to grow into a full-time role as your circumstances and our needs evolve. The main responsibilities of your role will include maintaining company accounts, managing debtors, managing key client relationships and client expectations, liaising with suppliers, processing payroll, processing of bas, superannuation, payg and other compliance activities, reconciling bank accounts and payments, managing budgets, forecasting and invoicing, maintaining a documented system of compliant accounting policies and procedures, providing financial analyses as needed (e.g. for pricing decisions and contract negotiations). About you the successful candidate will be a well-rounded individual with a passion for sustainability and a demonstrable work ethic, who is organised, efficient and has an eye for detail. You will have also demonstrated experience in your ability to communicate effectively and overcome challenges through creative problem-solving. Proficiency in Xero is considered a pre-requisite for this role, with Xero Advisor certification preferred. Experience working in a professional services consulting environment would also be considered an asset, as would a demonstrated history of implementing operational improvements to your job role.
