Automation Engineer Technical Recruitment Solutions location Waikato. FMCG Manufacturer. $120-140K+.

Large dairy manufacturing business, who have an automated production facility in South Auckland/Pokeno. As part of their ongoing growth, they are looking to bring a new Automation Engineer on board.

Automation engineer initial focus will be improving plant functionality and reliability. You’ll be present on the floor, looking at what can be improved and working with others to deliver it. There’s a huge business focus on plant improvement and development and there is budget available to achieve goals.

You'll be part of the Services Engineering team focussed on plant optimisation and future CAPEX delivery, and as Automation Engineer you'll work on the following electrical and control systems/programs programming of PLC’s (Schneider and Rockwell - Allen Bradley). Systems integration of sensors, actuators. HMI/SCADA. VSD/VFD's - Allen Bradley and Schneider. Communications - Ethernet/IP etc. Focus on production machinery and plant utilities.

About you at least 4-5+ years experience in Automation & Controls. PLC Programming and HMI configuration – Schneider and/or Rockwell Allen Bradley preferred, but open to other systems. Either Degree qualified or industry experienced.

FMCG, Food, Dairy experience is a big advantage, as is HACCP understanding. Attitude - someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up and help others. This is a hugely exciting opportunity to work in a highly automated plant and have a real say in the development of the business and implementing new technologies.

In Return Monday - Friday. Day based role. $120 - 140K + negotiable on experience. Great team - low staff turnover, career development and a growing business.
