The role of an Audiologist is to:

• Provide the best patient care and enhance the customer experience.

• Conduct hearing assessments for adults using a range of diagnostic techniques.
• Assess, diagnose, recommend and make management decisions on customers hearing health.
• Prescribe, fit and program hearing aids and ALD’s using evidence-based practices.
• Maintain a high degree of consistency and accuracy when prescribing and recommending upon assessment of hearing.
• Clearly explain hearing aid technology, communicating features and benefits of hearing aids to customers.
• Communicate recommendations and information clearly to customers
• Effectively manage and demonstrate flexibility in appointment book management.
• Maintain up to date clinical knowledge.
• Actively pursue continuous education beyond the professional requirements based on personal interests.
• Demonstrate personal commitment and behaviour toward achieving both individual and store KPI’s.
• When not engaged in clinical audiology, assist with front-of-house tasks including troubleshooting, resolving customer queries, and upskilling the dispensing team.
• Collaborate with ENT’s, GP’s and medical practitioners where appropriate.

Role prerequisites:

• Audiology degree or Audiometry diploma
• Hold a current QP number and full membership of an Australian approved Professional Body (Audiology Australia/Australian College of Audiometry)
