Attendance Officer Greenmeadows Intermediate School location Auckland. $70,990 per year.

The Manurewa Attendance Service Cluster is seeking to appoint one Attendance Officer (AO) to join our team.  We seek people who are passionate about inclusive education and keen to support students, aged 6 to 16 years, who are currently disengaged from school, to attend school regularly. The Attendance Officer are employed by and based at Greenmeadows Intermediate School, 29 Greenmeadows Ave, Manurewa.

To be considered for these positions applicants will have a high level of cultural capability. The ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people. The ability to communicate effectively in writing.  A reasonable level of digital competency. Strong organisation and self-management skills. A strong, professional work ethic.

An ability to build positive relationships with people. A qualification in youth work, social work (or at least extensive experience in a related field). Meet the requirements of the Children’s Act 2014 in order to work with students and their families/whanau (police vetting a requirement). A full, clean and current NZ Driver Licence.

Terms and conditions fixed term duration (as soon as possible (TBC) – 20th December 2024). Hours 40 hours per week Monday – Friday: 8.00am – 4.30pm (includes a paid 25-minute morning tea break and an unpaid 30 minute lunch break)

Working Weeks 43 weeks (meaning 9 weeks holiday) 40 school weeks – 4 school terms. 3 weeks/ 15 days to be worked during the school holidays (3 days prior to Term 1 starting; 4 days term 1, 2, 3 holidays. Four weeks annual leave provided to be allocated during the school holidays. Salary $70,990.00 per annum: (34.13 per hour).
