Description
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Facilities Manager to support the delivery of exceptional facilities management at a prominent retail centre in the Sutherland Shire. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you’ll work alongside a high-performing team to ensure the asset is safe, well-maintained, and continues to provide a best-in-class customer experience. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to step up in their FM career and grow within a respected property group, or someone with related experience to start their career in Facilities Management.
What you'll be doing:
Assist with day-to-day operations of building and contractor management
Support compliance with safety and risk management protocols
Liaise with tenants, service providers, and internal stakeholders
Coordinate minor works, repairs, and maintenance schedules
Monitor and help manage the centre's operational budgets
You'll also be first point of contact for a smaller retail centre in Sydney CBD - giving you the opportunity to improve your skills in FM
What we're looking for:
Facilities or property management experience in a retail or commercial setting, or experience in a role that has given you transferrable skills
Understanding of building operations and WHS compliance
Effective communicator with solid stakeholder management skills
Tech-savvy with exposure to FM systems and contractor platforms ideal
A proactive mindset and strong attention to detail
