Multiple ongoing full time roles based in various regional locations across NSW and Sydney. Clerk Grade 5/6, $85,744 - $94,610pa plus employers’ contribution to superannuation.

About the Agency Resilience NSW is a new Executive Agency in the Premier and Cabinet cluster, established in May 2020, to transform the whole of government approach to disaster management in NSW. Resilience NSW leads and coordinates disaster prevention, management and recovery – learning from experience to drive strategies and investment to reduce risk, build resilience of NSW communities, and give confidence to our communities to live, work and invest in NSW.

Resilience NSW keeps people and communities at the heart of everything it does. By leading a whole of government approach to disaster recovery and resilience, we ensure that people are cared for, acknowledged and empowered – so that all NSW communities are better prepared for and supported on their journey of recovery from any crisis or disaster event.

About the roles Resilience NSW is building six new regional liaison branches that will work with local communities, councils, local industries, small businesses, and government and NGO partners to ensure local and regional communities are prepared for and supported to recover from disasters and emergencies.

These roles will work as part of the teams that coordinate recovery and welfare services to communities that have experienced disaster and deliver programs to build resilience to future disasters and emergencies. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to project research, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of local and regional resilience initiatives.

Key responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to) provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved plans and objectives.

Undertake research and analysis in assigned project areas, including researching and interpreting operational policies and procedures and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning. Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.

Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing papers, to support project management and delivery. Collaborate with peers to share learnings, develop efficient work practices and assist in crisis events in other local or regional areas.

About you You’ll bring energy and drive to the team that will support and partner with communities across the region. The successful applicant will demonstrate Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant field. An ability and willingness to travel within NSW and support other operational roles during disasters, emergencies and other events, consistent with skills, background and personal circumstances.
