With anticipated growth comes the need for a motivated and ambitious Assistant Accountant.
The role reporting directly to the Financial Controller your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to management of Accounts payable and receivable. Review inputs to financial information for reasonableness and accuracy. Performing all bank reconciliations.
Preparation of all payments such as staff reimbursements, and petty cash. Ensure compliance of statutory accounts with all relevant accounting standards and legislative requirements. Manage the month-end process to ensure compliance with deadlines.
Develop and implement best practice standardised financial policies and procedures ensuring they align with group policy and satisfy internal and external audit requirements. Maintain open communication and ensure active collaboration across stakeholder groups.
Skills and experience the ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified in an accounting or business degree and have aspirations to complete or be part way through your CA / CPA. You will have 1-2 years of professional experience as well as basic knowledge of accounting standards.
Candidates will have proficient experience using MS Excel. Knowledge of SAP will be desirable in successful candidates. Good communication skills, with proven ability to demonstrate initiative and have good attention to detail are essential.
