Airline Passenger Service Agent WINKEL Aviation Services location Gladstone.

Looking for more than an everyday customer service job. WINKEL Aviation Services has a vacancies at our Gladstone Regional Airport location. We're after a highly motivated candidates seeking work in an exciting, fast paced environment.

The successful applicant will be trained in all aspects of Airline operations. Your duties may include all, or some of the following Customer Service Agent.

Responsibilities include but not limited to passenger check in (greeting customers, verifying ID and printing boarding passes). Boarding/De-boarding (reassigning seats and general gate enquiries). Process travel documents/Verifying destination requirements.

Customer management (handling customer complaints/enquiries). Collecting additional airport charges. Assisting with Mishandled Baggage. There is also the chance to be trained further as an Airside Service Agent.

Responsibilities include but not limited to baggage handling including loading and unloading Aircraft. Marshalling Aircraft onto parking Bays. Unloading, loading baggage and freight. Operating Aircraft service equipment including Aircraft stairs, Tow vehicles and Passenger assistance devices. Freight consignment/ dedicated Aircraft Freighter Ground Handling. Cabin Cleaning on arrival of terminating aircraft.

To be successful in this position you must have the following employees must hold a current State drivers license. Employees must be eligible to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Clearance (ASIC) at own cost for initial.

Available to travel away for initial training. Willing to work a rotating roster over 7 days. Some split shifts with early morning and late nights. Pass a mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Whilst all training is provided, previous experience with airline systems would be advantageous.

Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A mature approach when dealing with customers requiring special needs. Work without direct supervision and posses great time management skills.

Impeccable grooming and presentation. Ability to work safely and adhere to safe work practices. To be physically fit and able to lift a maximum of 32kg repetitively.

Accept responsibility, make decisions, and take initiatives. Treat our people with the same respect with which they are expected to treat passengers. Communicate via ground to air radio (existing AROC desirable). Training begins: 23rd of September 2024 (subject to change).
