About Ravenhall Correctional Centre Ravenhall Correctional Centre is part of The GEO Group Australia, based west of Melbourne and is Victoria's largest prison for adult sentenced and unsentenced males. It's contemporary campus-style design provides a safe and humane environment that enables and nurtures GEO's Continuum of Care operating philosophy.

Ravenhall also has a dedicated Forensic Mental Health Unit, a specialised Closed Supervision Unit for prisoners with significant challenging behaviours, and a small Mission Based Unit for prisoners who have never been in custody before. In recognition of the importance of Continuum of Care, Ravenhall extends its presence into the community by providing ex-prisoners with access to post-release support at GEO’s Community Reintegration Centre.

Your Skills & experience we are recruiting for administration roles for upcoming and future vacancies in our Visits and Prisoner Records, Facilities and Maintenance, Rehabilitation and Reintegration areas. As an Administration Support Officer - General, you will also have the opportunity to learn and work in other areas in an administrative capacity depending on your qualifications, experience, skillset, and willingness to learn new roles.

The roster for Visits and Records involves a variety of shifts that are between 10-12 hours in length. Some weekends may apply but are no more than every second weekend and the roster is set in advance so you can plan your commitments around it. It is a requirement of the role that you can work up to 12 hour shifts (usually 7am to 7pm) and work every second weekend.

We are hiring for the following ASO roles records complete audits and checks in accordance with Corrections Victoria policy and procedure. Process and record all information from courts pertaining to Prisoner incarceration in accordance with the legislative requirements and relevant GEO and Corrections Victoria policy and procedures.

Maintain data entry recording in relation to Prisoner warrant files and electronic recording systems. Assist GEO internal departments with reception, screening, classification and reviewing of processes in compliance with prisoners and relevant policy and legislation. Complete and organise all relevant paperwork for the processing of release applicants for Centrelink monies.

Visits reconciliation of a cash float prior to commencement of visits. Receive and process the Application to Visit Inmate form, collect and record appropriate forms of identification in accordance with the Victoria Corrective Services and Ravenhall Correctional Operating Procedures. Issuing of visitor locker keys, receipting and refunding of deposits for visitor locker keys.

Receive and receipting inmate monies and property deposited and provided by visitors in accordance with Victoria Corrective Services and Ravenhall Correctional Operating Procedures. Releasing inmate property to visitors that has been approved. Issue change (coins) to visitors in return for notes (dollars) for use in vending machines whilst inside the visiting Centre in accordance with Ravenhall Correctional Operating procedures. Reconciliation and balancing of cash float at the completion of visits. Ensuring all monies and receipt books are secured in the safe.

Facilities and Maintenance. Raising and processing 108 from inception to payment of invoice. Prepare QFM open job report. Take meeting minutes of QFM and Team Toolbox meetings. Monitor QFM tasks. Rehabilitation and Reintegration.

Perform clerical duties and provide administrative support as directed by the Director, Rehabilitation and Reintegration. Assist with collation and dissemination of information to the Rehabilitation and Reintegration team and wider Ravenhall staffing group as required.

Provide support with the coordination and minuting of relevant Rehabilitation and Reintegration Services meetings. Assist with implementation of auditing and other quality assurance processes in relation to Service Deliver Outcomes, Key Performance Indicators and other Rehabilitation and Reintegration activities as required.

Assist with the preparation of Reports and other documentation as required. Provide administrative support for the Rehabilitation and Reintegration staff to assist with Ravenhall Correctional Centre processes. Coordinate the development of the Ravenhall Correctional Centre staff newsletter. Ensure compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures and the Governance, Risk and Compliance Manual.

To meet the key selection criteria for this role this role, you will possess the following work the roster/hours required for the role as outlined above. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of office procedures, including ability to maintain confidentiality. Eager to achieve solutions focused outcomes with good problem solving ability.

Possess fantastic customer service skills. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and provide administrative support to the Ravenhall team within a correctional environment. Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of computer applications. Ability to learn internal databases and other computer systems, and use these with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work in areas which may involve direct interaction with prisoners.
