Administration Officer Macquarie University location Sydney.

The role this is a pivotal position within a world-renowned research Institute, directly supporting the Founding Director of the Australian Institute of Health Innovation Institute (AIHI) to provide high level executive assistance.

The role acts as the liaison on behalf of the Founding Director for communication with important external stakeholders and coordinates associated work such as events, travel and meetings. In additional to supporting administration and financial management for the Centre, this role provides research, analysis and recommendations to support the Founding Director in various projects including research grant proposals.

The Administration Officer is a rewarding role that really makes a difference to the work that is done within the Institute. It requires critical thinking and judgement to navigate challenges to successful outcomes and offers a range of tasks to take ownership of.

About you you will have strong administrative experience including providing administrative support to senior management. Computer based skills, attention to detail, planning and organisation skills are notches on your belt.

You can proactively manage your busy workload to cope in a fast-paced environment and you have a high degree of professionalism which is reflected in your work and in your communications with stakeholders. You have an interest in health research and/or higher education and would enjoy working in this environment.

About us the Centre for Healthcare Resilience and Implementation Science (CHRIS) is part of the Australian Institute of Health Innovation within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Science and has a successful track record of undertaking research and evaluation projects on health sector issues since 1991.

Its core interest is to investigate issues of policy, governance and leadership in the health sector. It is involved in conducting original research into health systems issues, providing a scholarly capability by which to evaluate health sector policies, programs and projects, and contributing to undergraduate medical and postgraduate teaching, and public health and doctoral education.
