Let’s explore the job the Accounts Payable Officer is a member of the Procure to Pay team and is responsible for all aspects of Council’s procure to pay systems and processes including; supplier, creditor and requisition maintenance and processing to facilitate the smooth and efficient delivery of accounts payable services from purchase order through to invoice payment.

Other accountabilities include providing internal and supplier / creditor accounts payable related customer service. Accounts payable systems administration and configuration including user set up and access. Support internal customer requisitioning practice improvement to optimise efficiency.

Invoice and credit processing in accounts payable systems. Pcard processing. Process new supplier applications and set up. Support and contribute to accounts payable procedure reviews and updates. You will also have certificate qualifications in finance or procurement related discipline or equivalent experience in a similar procure to pay, finance, accounts payable or procurement officer position. Demonstrated commitment to providing customer service excellence.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and commitment to continuous improvement. Ability to work effectively and professionally in a team environment. Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
