Recommending assistive technology, equipment, home modifications and practical strategies to support independence.
Developing and reviewing personalised care plans in partnership with older people and their support networks.
Supporting reablement, falls prevention, safe daily activities and improved functional outcomes.
Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses, allied health professionals and other care partners to coordinate quality care.
Building trusted relationships with participants, families and service providers.
What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about people and is enthusiastic about developing their career in community aged care.

You will have:
Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia through AHPRA.
Strong communication skills, empathy and a person-centred approach to care.
An interest in supporting older people to maintain independence and wellbeing in their own homes.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A willingness to learn, seek guidance and develop your professional capabilities.
A current Australian Driver Licence.
New graduates are encouraged to apply. You do not need extensive experience in aged care. We are looking for someone with the right professional foundations, values and willingness to learn.

What we can offer you:
A supportive team environment with regular professional supervision, mentoring and clinical guidance.
Opportunities to develop your occupational therapy skills in community-based aged care.
Training and professional development opportunities.
Salary packaging benefits.
Meaningful work supporting older Tasmanians to live safely and independently.
