Bolton Clarke Residential group now has 87 Aged Care Homes across QLD, NSW, VIC, SA & WA, with the inclusion of the Allity, McKenzie & Acacia Living Group.

As part of the Bolton Clarke Research Institute, this role sits within a growing national research team dedicated to generating evidence that improves care outcomes, supports innovation and informs decision-making across aged care, home care and retirement living. The Research Officer will contribute to applied research, evaluation and implementation projects that make a meaningful difference to the lives of older Australians.

Key responsibilities

Support the planning and delivery of research and evaluation projects
Undertake literature reviews, environmental scans and evidence summaries
Assist with ethics submissions, project administration and research documentation
Support data collection, management, analysis and interpretation activities
Contribute to implementation and evaluation activities that improve services and outcomes
Assist with development of reports, presentations, publications and research summaries
Support knowledge translation activities that promote the use of evidence in practice
Engage with researchers, clinicians, operational teams and external stakeholders
Maintain accurate project records and contribute to project reporting
Participate in continuous improvement and professional development activities

About you

You are a curious and motivated researcher who enjoys working collaboratively and applying evidence to real-world challenges. You are organised, analytical and eager to contribute to research that improves outcomes for older people and communities.

You will bring:

Honours degree, Master's qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline
Experience supporting research, evaluation, quality improvement or implementation activities
Understanding of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods
Experience conducting literature reviews, evidence synthesis or data collection activities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
A strong commitment to evidence-informed practice and continuous learning
