About the Role

Lead, influence and shape the future of Speech Pathology services across one of Victoria’s large regional health services.

Goulburn Valley Health is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to lead our Speech Pathology service and make a meaningful contribution to healthcare outcomes across the region.

This permanent full-time leadership opportunity offers the chance the drive service innovation, support workforce development and influence strategic direction across acute, subacute, outpatient and specialist programs. You will provide clinical governance, operational leadership and strategic direction, whilst supporting patient flow and improving outcomes across the care continuum, and maintaining an appropriate clinical caseload as required.

You will be supported by a highly collaborative Allied Health leadership team and work closely with the Divisional Operations Director and fellow Allied Health Managers. We are committed to developing clinical leaders and provide access to mentoring, formal leadership programs and professional development opportunities to support your continued growth and success in the role. There is also relocation assistance and initial accommodation support to help your move, and other supports to help you settle into the region

This role provides a unique opportunity to influence Speech Pathology services across the continuum of care. You will lead service development, workforce planning, clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives that directly impact patient outcomes across our region.

About you:

Strong clinical Speech Pathology experience
Demonstrated leadership capability or readiness to step into a management role
Experience supporting service improvement, patient flow, workforce development and clinical governance
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A collaborative and patient-centred approach to leadership
Commitment to team and self-development

Requirements:

Relevant tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
Eligibility for Certified Practicing membership (Speech Pathology Australia)
Current driver’s licence
