Hey you!

MatchWorks is looking for an Indigenous Employment Mentor who's passionate about helping people achieve their goals and find meaningful work.

In this role, you'll build strong relationships with the people you support, taking the time to understand their strengths, goals and what matters most to them. You'll provide practical support and encouragement, helping people overcome challenges and connect with opportunities that can change their future.

You don't need Employment Services experience to apply. If you're a great communicator who enjoys helping others and building relationships, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

What you’ll do

As an Indigenous Employment Mentor in our Workforce Australia team, you’ll:

Get to know the people you support and help them work towards employment.

Build strong relationships and provide ongoing guidance and encouragement.

Help people overcome challenges and connect with useful services, training and job opportunities.

Connect with employers and community organisations to create pathways to work.

Celebrate successes and support people every step of their journey.

What you’ll bring

Great people skills and the ability to build trust.

Experience supporting, mentoring or helping others.

A positive approach to solving problems and overcoming challenges.

Confidence using computers and learning new systems.

Good organisation skills and the ability to manage a busy workload.

Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (highly regarded).

We value community involvement, lived experience and a genuine desire to help others succeed.

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)

Why you’ll love working at MatchWorks

At MatchWorks, we’re committed to creating a welcoming, safe, and respectful space where everyone is empowered to play their part in the important work that we do.
