The School of Medical and Health Sciences
The School of Medical and Health Sciences is home to teaching and research in the health sciences. Biomedical Science and Exercise and Sports Science are cornerstone disciplines within the School. Through our undergraduate courses in biomedical science and exercise and sports science, our postgraduate courses in strength and conditioning, and higher degree research programs, we prepare graduates to address contemporary challenges in health, physical activity, sport performance and biomedical discovery.
About the Opportunity
We are now seeking a dedicated, strategic, and future-focused academic leader to join our leadership team in the role of Associate Dean, Medical and Exercise Sciences. This senior appointment provides a significant opportunity to shape the growth, direction and reputation of Biomedical Science and Exercise and Sports Science within one of Australia's leading health schools. This is an ongoing appointment, with the Associate Dean position being for three years.
About you
As the Associate Dean, Medical and Exercise Sciences, you will:
Provide strategic leadership across Biomedical Science and Exercise and Sports Science programs;
Lead curriculum development, innovation and quality enhancement activities;
Champion excellence in teaching, student experience and graduate employability;
Strengthen partnerships with industry, research institutes and community stakeholders;
Support accreditation, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives;
Mentor and support academic staff across teaching, scholarship and leadership;
Contribute to the School Executive Leadership Team and overall strategic planning.
