Mechanical Engineer Applied Electric Vehicles Pty Ltd location Melbourne. AEV Robotics are creators of the modular vehicle system. AEV has been able to reduce the cost and complexity of traditional automotive design to produce unique, intrinsically safe, rapidly-scalable, beautifully designed and highly compelling products. Due to business growth we are looking to recruit a full time, permanent Mechanical Engineer to work across multiple engineering projects. Key responsibilities for this role include working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams including mechatronic, electrical and software engineering, detailed design work from system level to individual component design, internal documentation and file control in addition to external data sharing for engineering collaboration and/or manufacturing, engineering manufacturing drawings for entire process from prototype design up to final manufacture, international collaboration for both engineering design to component manufacturing. Required skills and experience a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, experience and understanding of product release cycle from prototype to production and key deliverables of each phase, experience working closely with electrical engineering teams on safety critical systems with human interaction, ability to work closely with a team both locally and international to deliver results from multiple parallel projects, experience designing innovative and unique solutions to engineering problems, previous experience and high proficiency with common engineering tools for cad modelling, structural testing and manufacturing drawing, previous experience in electronic vehicle technology and high performance engineering solutions is highly regarded, detailed experience and understanding of prototype and production manufacturing processes, portfolio demonstrating your experience of the above will be highly regarded.
