Parkview have project delivery capabilities applicable to a wide range of asset classes. They have a strong track record in completing large multi-stage residential projects including involvement in other sectors such as hotels, built-to-rent, retail, commercial, industrial, seniors living, and community facilities.

Reporting to the CFO, Parkview are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with the CFO, Parkview Directors and management to grow the business. The candidate will be an important team member to help lead the transformation of the finance function, innovate and provide insights into the business as well as fulfilling the statutory and fiduciary responsibilities.

The candidate should be willing to roll up their sleeves and work with the CFO in ensuring the financial reporting  is accurate, complete and meeting corporate and statutory deadlines. Strong financial accounting capabilities are essential and experience in the Construction industry would be ideal but not essential for the right candidate.

The candidate will have good communication skills and can effectively work with project teams in order to provide insightful support to the CFO and management. Parkview runs a flat and effective management structure so it is essential the candidate has the ability to work across the Pre-Construction, Delivery and Post Construction teams.

Strong capabilities across ERP and EPM platforms and technologically savvy, the candidate will ensure effective controls and processes are adhered to and have a mindset of continuous improvement to ensure systems remain robust, efficient and effective. The discipline of reviewing financial records ensuring reconciliations and appropriate support evidence for financial reporting is a key requirement of the role.

Responsibilities ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance AASB standards, tax reporting and ASIC requirements for a large Privacy Company. Ensure financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets are up to date and effective.

Prepare financial statements and work with CFO to complete  budgets, and forecasts for management review. Support CFO in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with ATO requirements. Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and resolve any audit findings.

Working with the CFO to provide financial analysis and support for strategic decision-making, such as investment opportunities or cost-benefit analysis for projects. Working in a team environment  with other finance professionals accounting providing technical assistance as needed.

Experience needed experience as a Financial Accountant with the ability to demonstrate relevant experience and expertise to adapt to the role quickly. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including ASSB.

Experience with financial reporting, AISC requirements. Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance. Hands on experience utilising the full functionality of the ERP system with objective of minimal use of spreadsheets as a goal.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Chartered Accountant or CPA certification is preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Technical capabilities advance skills in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g. Jobpac Connect – Parkview ERP, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik). Ideally some knowledge of financial modelling and analysis techniques. Understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing and revenue recognition would be advantageous.
