Michael Page Finance are partnering with a large ASX listing mining company in Perth who are looking to hire a Finance Operations Manager role on a permanent basis. This role will report into the CFO and have direct responsibility over the management and development of the transactional finance function, including AP, AR and Payroll.

Description management of the Accounts Payable function to ensure timely payment to suppliers. The team includes one direct line report (Accounts Payable Lead) and indirect management of a team of 4 Accounts Payable Officers. Review of bi-monthly supplier payment runs to ensure compliance with purchasing controls.
Management of the Payroll function to ensure timely and accurate payment to employees. The team includes one direct line report (Payroll Lead) and indirect management of a team of 2 Payroll Officers. Review of bi-monthly payroll payments to ensure compliance with payroll controls. Oversee the Accounts Receivable function (for non-product related sales only).
Manage and administer the Company's Delegation of Authority (DOA) including raising awareness throughout the organisation. Oversee the consumable inventory system from a financial reporting perspective including monitoring stock controls, e.g. stock counts and inventory write downs. Manage compliance with statutory reporting obligations including review and approval of statutory reports (e.g. Payment Times Reporting).
As owner of controls, policies and procedures relating to Accounts Payable, Payroll and Accounts Receivable, ensure adherence with these policies including the provision of training to key stakeholders. Identify and implement process improvements and value add opportunities within the Group. Ad-hoc query support, analysis and project work as required.
Profile to be considered for this role, you will have previous experience leading and developing transactional finance teams/functions, including experience improving processes and implementing/upgrading finance systems. A professional CA/CPA qualification will be highly regarded, as well as a background in Accounting roles with a focus on statutory reporting, governance and controls. Previous experience leading medium-large teams will also be highly regarded.
