About the business area we are seeking a highly motivated Administration Officer to join the Learning Improvement division. Learning Improvement works collaboratively across the department and non-government sectors to support schools to improve outcomes for every student.
The group is responsible for ensuring the youngest children get the best start in life by supporting and regulating the early childhood education and care sector. It is also responsible for the development and delivery of evidence-based programs to improve educational standards and the quality of teaching and learning in all NSW public schools.
About the role the Administration Officer provides a broad range of administrative services and leverages extensive business unit knowledge to support the unit's program/s of work and facilitate professional support to both internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of business operations to agreed standards.
We are seeking experienced Administration Officers with a positive can-do attitude who thrives in a high pace environment. Proven work experience as an Administrative Officer, Administrator or similar role. Experience with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint).
You will be highly collaborative, self-motivated and will thrive working as part of a high-performing and driven team in representing the organisation in an honest, ethical and professional way. Essential requirements of the role hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment.
Key knowledge and experience knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
