Responsibilities include maintaining a safe working environment. Interpreting shop-drawings to determine timber requirements. Selecting, dressing, and profiling timber. Maintaining tooling / tool profiles. Machine maintenance. Continuous improvement of work practices to improve safety, efficiency and quality.

Selection criteria for this position trade qualified Wood Machinist with at least 5 years' experience working with solid timber. Maintain a high standard of work. Be able to work alone or as part of a team with minimal supervision. Be able to problem solve. Have excellent time management skills. Ability to understand shop drawings.

Timber machining skills we're looking for in our ideal candidate include dimensioning Radial Arm Saw, Band Re-Saw, Beam Saw and Panel Saws. Dressing Jointers, Thickness Planer, 6 Head Moulder. Profiling 6 Head Moulder, Spindle Moulders. Ability to grind and profile tooling is desirable.
