Welcome Desk Admin Assistant UWA College location Perth. $39 per hour.
We have an opening for a casual Welcome Desk Admin Assistant to join our team at UWA College. Casual part-time role work up to 20 hours per week that can be split across the week. Hourly casual rate of $39 per hour. Based at UWA College on The University of Western Australia Crawley Campus. As the Welcome Desk Admin Assistant, you will provide a professional and welcoming front of house service for the body of students, staff and visitors at UWA College.
Tasks and responsibilities to cover the Welcome desk, providing a first point of contact for all internal and external customers. To promote a positive and welcoming first impression when greeting staff, students, and the public. To assess and resolve wide ranging and often complex student, staff and public queries and when required, referring the more complex requests to the relevant individuals and/or departments.
Actively promote and build good working relationships with UWA College staff and liaise with the relevant individuals and/or teams where necessary, both within the company and externally, whilst at the same time handling time-dependent, sensitive and confidential data. Taking deliveries and contacting relevant staff members where appropriate.
Assist and participate with communication for students. Support in organising & participate in a variety of College related promotional events. Take EFTPOS payments and daily EFTPOS reconciliation. Monitor ASKUWA enquiry. Ensure all student, parent and agent enquiries are attended to promptly, courteously and efficiently, in line with UWA College policy. Enter, manage, process student records and data as required into TRIM.
As part of the student services team, manage general administration, student enquiry, general student wellbeing. Monitoring of the UWA College email inbox. Assist with weekly Student Portal updates. Assist with the arrival, registration and orientation of students. Maintain a professional, safe, clean and welcoming environment to receive students and other visitors. Assist the UWA College leadership team with ad hoc administrative duties where necessary.
About you Willingness to work as part of a small team as well as possessing the ability to multi-task are both important, as is the desire to deliver a high standard of service to all our stakeholders while working to continually enhance the student experience for UWA College students.
As the first point of contact for students, exemplary customer service skills are key to building successful relationships within UWA, internally across the into organisation and with external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have relevant admin experience as well as experience of working in a customer-facing environment.
All UWA College staff need to be committed and responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adolescents and young adults. The offer will be subject to a Western Australian Working with Children Check, National Police check and two references. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate their right to work within Australia.
