Priority One is the economic development enabler for Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty.  We work closely with the sub-region’s secondary schools to foster positive relationships between the education sector and local businesses in order to equip students with the skills needed for the future of work.

We’re seeking a highly motivated relationship builder to join our team and help raise the profile and improve access to future careers and vocational education pathways.  The role will also support local employers to be involved in vocational education, employment and development opportunities for young people.

If you can demonstrate the following skills and attributes, we’d love to hear from you experience within the secondary education sector. Experience or knowledge of business/industry, especially in vocational pathways. Self-motivated and outcome focused. Innovative thinker with the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment. High level of project management experience.

High level of relationship building skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrable planning and organising skills. Practical knowledge of Māori language and culture. The ideal applicant will have a degree level tertiary qualification in education and/or a business-related field.
