Vetting Officer New Zealand Police location Wellington.

About the role the Police Vetting service provides criminal history checks and other relevant information on potential and current employees to approved agencies that provide care and protection to children and vulnerable members of society, in conjunction with relevant legislation. As a Vetting Officer, your role is integral in upholding police responsibilities by maintaining public safety through accurate and timely vetting results.

Key accountabilities analyse information of risk held on individual(s) and make informed decisions based on risk to the role applied for. Create intelligence reports in conjunction with Enhanced Assessment Unit Standards. Develop and maintain a wide range of positive relationships (internal and external). Research, collect and conduct preliminary analysis to identify and highlight any key emerging trends, issues and risks.
