Then look no further as we are looking for you – an awesome receptionist to join our team. We have a fabulous position open in our family-owned small animal clinic in Brighton, as one of our team members leaves to begin her dream job as an Flight Attendant.
About us family owned and operated small animal clinic located in Brighton. Our team compromises of 4 Vets, 5 Vet Nurses, 2 Customer Care Representatives and 3 Hospital Attendants. We hold daily and weekly meetings to optimise communication & patient care. Full team staff training sessions with food... lots of food.
We have a beautiful bright cattery which sleeps 10 cats at any time. We have an open door policy which means we are so proud of our impeccable standard of care that if you would like to come to see your pet while they are with us you are able to visit them in clinic.
About you able to commit to 38 hours per week, with 8.5 hour day on a rotating roster. Able to work on both weekdays and weekends, evenings and mornings on a rotating 4 week roster, a minimum of 2 Saturdays per month. Currently we are closed on Sundays.
Hard worker with a can-do attitude and computer savvy. Love helping people & pets. Up hold our values of Trust, Compassion, Excellence and Collaboration. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to first point of contact for all general queries and calls. Managing clinic email inbox.
Coordinate vet, nurse and procedure bookings. Organise admission and discharge paperwork for surgical / hospital and Cattery patients. Ensuring the reception area is kept clean and presentable at all times. Ordering products and medications from our various suppliers. Managing clinic task and work lists. Managing the till. Organising insurance, microchip, vaccination, pathology paperwork.
Key Selection criteria essential 1 years’ experience within a reception role. Excellent attention to detail. Efficient and tidy. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent intrapersonal skills and phone manner. Works well and accurately under pressure. Proven ability to be flexible, adaptable and learn quickly. Computer savvy. Desirable veterinary reception background.
On offer full time - 38 hours per week, including evening & weekend shifts (We are closed on Public holidays). Above award rate salary. Work in Bayside - close to home. This is a Receptionist position and though you will be exposed to Vet Nursing tasks, this is not an entry position for Veterinary Nursing. Your expected commencement date is desirably as soon as possible.
