Veterinary Receptionist Maroubra Veterinary Hospital location Sydney.

Maroubra Veterinary hospital is looking for a receptionist for our busy Eastern suburb's hospital. You will join a team of welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate staff members. Our hospital is an independently owned and operated practice by owner and Principal veterinarian Dr Adam Gordon for over 30 years.

Our management team has completed various programs in executive leadership and training through the Lincoln institute. Upon completion of these programs the clinic has been accredited as a Lincoln Institute Employer of Choice.

The practice has recently undergone extensive renovations throughout the facility with state-of-the-art equipment. Our staff members express a high level of job satisfaction with most of them being employed by Maroubra Vet Hospital for over 5 years. Because of this we have a personable relationship with our clients and their pets.

About the role being the first point of contact for all clients. Greeting clients with a smile and acknowledging their pets as they enter the hospital. Taking incoming phone calls and assisting the client accordingly. Scheduling vet and nurse appointments in line with clinic protocols.

Basic administrative tasks including but not limited to replying to email enquiries, distributing reminders, processing pet insurance claims. Processing transactions. Over the counter sales. Providing basic advice to clients.

Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the reception area. Communicating information between clients and other staff members. Proving accurate quotations for standard procedures (desexing, vaccinations, etc). Opportunity for advancement and further training.

About you excellent written and verbal english skills. Proven experience in a customer service based role. Professional phone manner. Ability to maintain a friendly and patient attitude towards clients in stressful scenarios. Can prioritise tasks according to urgency. Has initiative to complete tasks independently. Passionate about caring for animals and their owners. Must have basic computer skills.
